At Flipside Gaming Store, we understand that even the most carefully planned acquisition might require tactical adjustment. Whether a Gundam kit arrived with unexpected battle damage, a board game component needs reinforcement, or you’ve simply changed your strategic approach, our Returns & Exchanges protocol is designed with the collector’s precision in mind.
Return & Exchange Policy: The Rules of Engagement
Eligibility Window
You have 15 calendar days from the date of delivery to initiate a return or exchange request. This window allows sufficient time for inspection while ensuring inventory can be effectively redeployed.
Condition Requirements
To qualify for return or exchange, items must meet the following conditions:
- Original Packaging: All items must be returned in their original, unopened packaging—treat the box with the same care we apply when hand-packing your order.
- Complete Components: For Bandai Model Kits, Games Workshop products, and board games, all sprues, components, manuals, and accessories must be present and undamaged.
- Factory Seals: Trading cards, sealed booster packs, and collectibles must have intact factory seals.
- No Assembly: Model kits and miniatures that have been assembled, painted, or modified cannot be returned.
- Proof of Purchase: Include your original order number or packing slip with the return.
Tactical Process: Executing Your Return or Exchange
Initiate Contact with HQ
Within 15 days of delivery, send a transmission (email) to [email protected] with the subject line “Return/Exchange Request – Order #[Your Order Number]”. Use the template provided in the next section to ensure all necessary intelligence is included.
Receive Your RMA Authorization
Our support team will review your request within 2 business days. If approved, you’ll receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and detailed instructions for shipping the item(s) back to our Jersey City HQ.
Important: Do not ship items without an RMA number—unauthorized returns cannot be processed.
Strategic Packaging & Deployment
Package the item securely in its original packaging, then place it inside a shipping box with adequate protection. Include:
- The RMA number clearly visible on the outside of the box
- Your original packing slip or order printout
- A brief note explaining the reason for return

Inspection & Processing
Upon arrival at our HQ, our quality control team will inspect the returned items (typically within 3-5 business days of receipt). You will receive notification once the inspection is complete and your return or exchange is being processed.
Mission Completion
For exchanges: Your replacement item will be shipped using your original shipping method (or an upgraded method if the return was due to our error).
For returns: Your refund will be initiated according to the schedule in the “Funds Recovery” section below.

Refund Processing Timeline
- Inspection Period: 3-5 business days after we receive your return at our Jersey City facility.
- Refund Initiation: Within 2 business days after approval of your return.
- Funds Appearance: 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your original payment method, depending on your financial institution’s processing time.
Refund Methods
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase:
- Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB): Refunded directly to your card.
- PayPal: Refunded to your PayPal account.
- Store Credit: If requested, issued immediately as Flipside Gaming Store credit for future tactical acquisitions.
Restricted Items: Non-Returnable Inventory
Based on the nature of our curated collection and to maintain quality for our global community of hobbyists, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged unless defective or incorrectly shipped:
Special Considerations for Our Product Lines
- Trading Cards: Due to the random nature of card distribution, sealed products cannot be returned if opened. Only factory-sealed, unopened products in original condition may be returned.
- Model Kits (Bandai/Gundam): Kits with broken factory seals or any assembly cannot be returned. Only kits with intact seals and all components in original packaging are eligible.
- Miniature Games (Games Workshop): Miniatures that have been removed from sprues, assembled, primed, or painted cannot be returned.
- Table Top RPGs: Books with removed shrink wrap or visible use cannot be returned unless defective.
- Hobby Supplies: Opened paints, tools, or consumable supplies cannot be returned for hygiene and quality reasons.
